Introducing Season One of The FREQ Show, With New Episodes Every Two Weeks

Today, Feminist Frequency is proud to present the first episode in the first official season of The FREQ Show! Following a four-episode “season zero” test run earlier this year that gave us the opportunity to experiment and figure out what we wanted the look, feel and format of The FREQ Show to be, we’re excited to show you what we’ve come up with. It’s a shorter, punchier, more focused show that allows us to entertainingly cut to the heart of some of the biggest issues in contemporary politics and pop culture. And importantly, this format will allow us to bring you new episodes every two weeks throughout the rest of the year.

In this debut episode, we examine the issue of “marketplace feminism.” Is there a problem with companies marketing certain shoes, yogurt, or breakfast cereal as “feminist” or “empowering”? Anita breaks it down for you in Feminism for Sale in Aisle 4!

With new episodes of The FREQ Show releasing every two weeks, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you don’t miss a single one. And if you want to know more about the issue of marketplace feminism, read Andi Zeisler’s excellent book We Were Feminists Once.
