The end of the year is the perfect time for reflection, gratitude, and resolution.
Upon reflection, 2016 was — in many ways for many people — a fairly trying twelve months. That’s why we spent the month of December sharing four actions to Amplify Your Involvement: Safety, Resources, Self-Care and Advocacy. These are just four ways to contribute to causes you care about, engage with others, and respond to harmful activities that are occurring across the US.
Here at Feminist Frequency — despite what a downer this past year was — we’re also thankful. We’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of folks like you, folks who watch our videos, respond to and share our work, and give to our ongoing programming. This year alone, we produced 38 original videos, including our brand-new series, Ordinary Women: Daring to Defy History.
And now? We’re more determined than ever to contribute to equity and inclusion in the New Year. We’re looking forward to a new year, with more videos, more writing, reviews and critiques, and even more FemFreq programming.
From all of us at Feminist Frequency, a huge and heartfelt happy New Year!
Feminist Frequency analyzes the connections between popular culture, the current political climate, and societal issues such as gender, race, and sexuality.
You can help us speak out against the normalization of sexual assault and harassment, racism and bigotry, and advocate for more inclusive media. All of our work is completely free and available to anyone with an internet connect.
We rely on contributions from people like you to keep it that way.
