Well, here we are. It’s been a few days now and I still can’t stop thinking about this show, not just these two final episodes but really this whole last season, in which some characters made amends, some characters learned how to better care for each other, some characters learned how to live in the moment. What more can we ask of life than for moments we get to be in and share with other people?

Anita and I share our thoughts on the show’s poignant finale. It may not have entirely been the conclusion we wanted — I’d really wanted these people to remain a family, as they were in the final moments of Goodwill — but there’s still so much to love in these last two episodes. Most of all, there’s Donna and Cam, who take their rightful place at the center of it all, with nothing but possibility spread out before them.
